INFINITI Unveils Next-Gen QX60 With Monograph Concept

INFINITI unveils its platinum-hued QX60 monograph giving us a tangible insight into their design direction. Curtains were raised on the QX60 Monograph via an immersive, multi-medium presentation that incorporated the SUV and INFINITI’s new Global headquarters. Participants also had a chance to “place” the QX60 Monography in their driveways with the help of augmented reality.

Solely focusing on the exterior, the designers at INFINITI imagined the QX60 Monograph to be a functional SUV for the busy, modern family. To achieve this, it offers dedicated three-row seating while maintaining an aerodynamic silhouette.

“In crafting this Monograph, we wanted to change the tonality of the QX60 and transform the nameplate from a sculptural and architectural point of view. We raised the visual center of gravity, giving it a strong, straight shoulder line that carries through to the hood, with a higher, more prominent grille, and longer-looking cabin to deliver a sense of muscularity and a commanding presence” said Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President, Global Design, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.

The QX60 Monograph embodies the Japanese concept of “Ma”, as it holds a deep sense of minimalism. Despite looking simple at a glance, the QX60 Monograph features carefully designed elements playing against each other in harmony.

The QX60 Monograph is a complete package an reveals a transformation in the direction that INFINITI’s designers are adopting the next-generation QX60. The production version is expected in 2021.
